Teresa Fariss McClain brings a highly effective blend of legal and medical experience to her clients. Prior to pursuing a law degree, she practiced as a registered nurse in the areas of obstetrics and adult critical care. She served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Donald P. Lay of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit following graduation, cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law.

Teresa is the current president of the Minnesota Women Lawyers Foundation, an organization formed to support the charitable actions of Minnesota Women Lawyers. Her professional accomplishments have also earned recognition from a number of industry organizations. In 2014, Teresa was named an “Attorney of the Year” by Minnesota Lawyer. She has also been selected to Super Lawyers in the area of Plaintiff’s Medical Malpractice, and named to Top Women Attorneys since 2013, and was previously named a Rising Star. In addition to her trial practice, Teresa is a qualified civil neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice. She is admitted to practice in state and federal court in Minnesota, the U.S. Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit, and federal courts in Wisconsin and North Dakota.
